
broc Sew you want to Sew? sewing workshops, STOP BUYING clothes you don't wear! Learn how to change the clothes you've got, reinvent your favourite garments to delight you. Outfits you have not worn for a long time, will transform into a glamorous or practical new outfit!
We teach basic sewing processes, tips and guidance on design and patterns, to complete beginners and to the more experienced, anyone can come to our fabulous fun workshop days.
We progress from threading up the machine to the different stitches and seams then on to making pockets and buttonholes, including all the basic processes needed to confidently and successfully complete alterations and changes to your clothes.
Sewing Workshop 1 - you learn how to control the machine, basic stitches and simple processes, plus plenty of practice on the machine to become very familiar with how it feels to use the sewing machine.
Sewing Workshop 2 - moving onto more complex processes, gathers onto a band, bias binding, pockets, buttonholes, zips, putting up hems etc. and talking about your own projects.
Project Development Sewing Workshops - You bring along your own projects, clothes or fabric household items (e.g. cushions) you would like to change or make, then we discuss them and we make recommendations about how they could be changed. There may be time to do changes or alterations to your own clothes during the day.

These weekend workshops are for the development of your projects. We aim to give guidance on processes for completing whatever you wish to bring along to the weekend.
Absolute beginners are recomended to attend at least one of our sewing workshops before attending a project workshop weekend.
